Everyday birds

The first thing I noticed when we got to Perth was how different the crows sound here. They make a throaty gargle that sounds like a cat in trouble. I also think that they are bigger, but I got shot down on that one. Everyday we have differnt birds that fly over in groups or in twos and I always ask The A what they are, he doesn't always have the answer so I have fun looking them up online.

The most common ones I see here are:

Willy Wagtail (they 'wag' their tails)

Pee Wee

Crows

Galah

Lorikeets

  2. I love the crow! He sounds like a demented cat at the end of his caws...

  3. They sound worse than that sometimes, I love imitating them as they sometimes caw back.

  4. Oh wow such lovely birds! It's gray and dark here today and our birds aren't nearly as colorful! Do enjoy them.
